With over 5 acres of fenced property allow Sally Anne and her husband Dave to train your puppy or older show dog for the conformation ring. Each dog in our care receives individual training, grooming and free play each day. They will work with your young dogs or puppies and prepare them for their show careers in a positive manner. The Rowlands are committed to a happy dog in the ring, and will work with your dog in many different locations with the goal being to expose them to a variety of different items and scenarios that they may encounter in their later show careers.
Sally Anne & Dave believe in quality of care not quantity of dogs, and therefore they take only a couple of dogs at any time for showing and/or training. Your dog is never handed off at a show to an assistant to show in the class (they don't have one!) when you hire Sally Anne to show your dog that's who you get.
puppy program
So that your future show dog has a positive experience in the ring in his/her later career Sally Anne has developed her puppy training schedule. She will only take two young puppies at any one time (5 months to 18 months) so please contact her for availability. The training program allows for a minimum of a 6 week experience for the puppies which will include all of the following areas:
Table work (bathing, blow-drying, trimming/grinding of nails, trimming feet and ears etc) Show training (includes gaiting, leash training, hand and free stacking work) Ring experience at 2-3 shows (if agreed upon with the owner) Show experience-your puppy will be taken to a couple of weekends of shows to give them exposure to the sights and sounds without being entered in show. Traveling which will include either staying in a hotel and/or motor home Socialization with older and younger dogs (vitally important if your show dog is an only dog) Supervised playtime with age appropriate companions House manners and crate training Sally Anne will also customize the experience for any specific issues you may be having such as barking, teething issues or difficulty potty training etc.
All dogs must be current on all vaccines prior to acceptance into our program.
