We are located on 5 acres in rural Manatee County we have lived in this area for 4 years and enjoy spending the time here with our Golden Retrievers and a Clumber Spaniel puppy. We take only a limited amount of client dogs at any one time and only ONE per class (unless for a Specialty or National or IF I have adequate help at a show). All dogs receive at least twice daily exercise on our property and spend plenty of time outside playing and generally just being dogs. All client dogs are worked with on a daily basis on some aspect of show training. Our property is fully fenced (4 foot field fencing) and although we do have exterior kennel runs (that are also surrounded by an additional wooden privacy fence) dogs are NOT left in kennel runs during the day or evening unless we are outside with them. We have a large spring fed pond on one end of the property which is fenced off from the dogs, we will take small groups to the pond on occasion for free play in the water. All of the dogs housed in our home including client dogs WITHOUT EXCEPTION must be able to live together as a pack and display a correct temperament for their breed. We will separate dogs into workable groups when necessary for tennis ball playing OR in age appropriate groups. For example we do not let young puppies run with full grown adults as they may over exert themselves trying to keep up. All dogs during the day will be exercised, socialized and receive one on one attention. Grooming, table work, retrieving and free play are all vital to a show dog and we are dedicated to our clients and their dogs. Puppies who are here for puppy training will travel with me to some shows for socialization and to gain experience around the show even if they are not being actively shown. We take a limited amount of dogs into our home for training, conditioning and showing in conformation. We are not a regular boarding facility and we only board the dogs we are currently showing for their owners. When on the road at shows that require overnight stays, then my husband generally stays home with our own dogs and any client dogs that are not going to be attending the show. We do not employ kennel help your dog is under the care of one or both of us at all times. When your dog attends a show he/she will be housed inside a metal crate in the grooming area and if we are able to set up exercise pens we put tops on all pens so no one can jump out!! Your dogs safety is of paramount importance to us, NO dog is EVER left unattended on a grooming table at ANY TIME either on our property OR at a show site. If you have questions or would like to talk with Sally Anne about training or showing your golden retriever please contact her at the link below or call her cell phone- (941) 266-6433 (6am-9pm)
